Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941, within Lincoln Nebraska. As a 13-year-old, Richard Bruce accompanied his parents in Casper (in the state of Wyoming) where his father served as Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's the district for soil conservation.
