Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actress and actor, is well-known for her role as the lead in a variety of television series as well as her impressive performances in films. Her work is well-known on both Canadian and American Television. Emily's interest in acting began when, at age 12, she went to visit the sister of Katie who was filming one of Katie's films. As soon as she realized that acting was her passion, Emily began to take acting lessons and auditions. She was initially cast in a couple of commercials before receiving a callback for the Canadian television show for children Are You Are You Scared of Darkness? It was just only one scene and without any dialogue. When she was 15, Emily got her biggest breakthrough after she was made a regular of the WB TV series Glory Days. Emily's talents caught Greg Berlanti's attention when the show was canceled after just nine episodes. He subsequently cast Emily for Everwood which is his upcoming TV show. Emily was an accomplished ballet dancer and also took up photography. Teen listed her as the top young actress. Emily was listed as the 51st on the Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
