Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actor who became famous for playing Buffy Summers in the cult film Buffy the Vampire SlayerRebecca Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales and the very short-lived NBC show with the same nameErica Paget in CBS Drama Early Edition and Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. Swanson is a native of California. She began acting at a very young age. She started her career in the advertising industryappearing in numerous commercials. In one episode, she appeared in the NBC sitcom It's Your Move, in the year 1984. Her debut was on the large screen two years laterin the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Her most famous feature is her blonde hair and the breathless voice that she employs. Since then Swan has been playing secondary characters. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category in 1989.
